--Serve as Assistant Editor of ICView Magazine, the magazine of Ithaca College, which is sent to 66,000 alumni, parents of current students, and friends of the college.--Participate in story lead generation, and help to shape the content of each issue.--Responsible for writing and editing stories that appear in the magazine.--Collect and write notes about alumni weddings, birth announcements, and passings.--Responsible for editing the Alumni Notes section of the magazine, which is curated and written by a student who I directly supervise.--Responsible for the curation and writing of the Mixed Media section of the magazine, which highlights alumni books, music, and movies. Section includes one featured piece, written or edited by me, and an in-line listing--Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of the department's staff of student writers, who produce content for the magazine, and provide event coverage and write dozens of stories for college's main news site--Write stories regularly for college's main news site--Liaise with athletic communication department to ensure a positive working relationship, and to write and promote athletics stories, as needed.

-Teach Media Writing, a survey course designed to expose undergraduates to a variety of writing styles used by the media-Create engaging content for lectures on print and online journalism, advertising, scriptwriting, and public relations-Create relevant assignments and exams designed to test students’ mastery of the subjects-Grade assignments for clarity, structure, adherence to rules of grammar, and creativity-Consistently receive positive student evaluations

I produce articles for the agency's quarterly newsletter. These articles include feature profiles of staff members and individuals who are served by Racker, as well as pieces detailing major fundraising events put on by the organization.

-Produce and edit content for three national trade magazines, which publish more than two dozen total issues every year, dedicated to a specific audience within athletics -Write articles ranging from 300 to 3,000 words for Athletic Management, Coaching Management, and Training & Conditioning magazine.-Write long feature pieces, medium length Q&A stories, and short news story items-Edit stories in all three magazines for structure, content, spelling, and grammar-Find daily news stories which appeal to our unique audience, many of which became pieces in the magazines -Write and edit content for the magazines’ websites using Moveable Type platform-Pitch story ideas and Q&A subjects to editor, several of which were used in various issues-Conduct interviews with high-profile head coaches, athletic directors, and athletic trainers

-Conducted research for database on the academic majors of NCAA Division I college football players, which would be major part of award-winning article on student-athletes and academics-Conducted research for USA Today’s database on the salaries of NCAA Division I college football coaches-Wrote stories on colleges’ budgeting for school spirit groups and Special Olympics participants-Wrote content for several special editions, including college football, golf, NASCAR, and baseball issues
