Directed the test development efforts and test execution efforts for all Android OS releases (Froyo, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich) as integrated with our system software. Initiated and implemented a test automation program for Android. This test automation program allowed testing of Android products around the clock and around the world (in different Networks) to operate with limited engineering resource intervention. It tested the Android product functionality, feature interaction capability, and stability operation for our Android smart phone/tablet. As expected, my testing operations included both internal testing against requirements, self set performance standards and pre-testing for external certification efforts. External certification included, Adobe Flash, GCF/PTCRB, CTS, Metrico, and Approved Vendor Labs (AVL as designated by carrier/operators) as well as the operators themselves and a host of other regulatory agencies.Established and managed all aspects of testing operations (budget, contract negotiations, test methodology, test structure, test processes including test management and defect reporting). Internal to Firebrand Wireless built an automation test lab facility utilizing Android’s adb shell to institute 24/7 continuous functional operational testing, device performance testing and stability testing. Directed the staff engineering efforts to operate maintain and report test results from this automation lab. As part of a startup company I provided a wide spectrum of accomplishments that ranged from working at the engineering level to decipher system level issues demonstrating very strong skills in providing innovative paths to problem isolation and resolution, to the high level of orchestrating the overall product effort ensuring appropriate resources, budget constraints and schedule commitments would be achieved.
