Started working at 16, worked for a local jeweller making molds for bracelets and rings. Learned to polish and file final items to a high finish. Let go due to there not being enough work (contacted a month later asking if I could return). Started working for a family cash and carry the next day, worked my way up from van lad to warehouse operative, gained NVQ level 2 in warehouse management and forklift operation, moved up again to freezer manager then transport manager, gained NVQ level 2 in Bookkeeping and Accounting. Transferred in to the office, promoted again to supervising manager, was with the company for 10 years. left due to not being able to progress further than my role due to it being a family business. spent 6 years working for Asda across 3 different stores. Started studying at Open University in my free time and obtained QCF level 4 in Health and Social Care, change in career path from retail to support work. I have been with Creative support now for nearly 8 years, I have spent this time between 3 services, Mental Health, Complex Needs and Forensics. I spent a year as acting senior for 2 of our community services.
