Client Interim Supply Chain VpChainalytics Feb 2020 - Oct 2020Wrapping up an assignment with a client in the Automotive Industry where I have served as the Interim Head of Supply Chain and helped to build a Supply Chain Organization to hand over to an incoming SVP. The new organization includes: Procurement, Materials Planning, and an Inbound Parts Consolidation Center. The Covid Crisis has presented some significant challenges in support on-going production with a flow of parts to prevent shutdowns of the assembly lines while limiting critical parts shortages and minimizing the impact to production efficiency. The team has been able to accomplish much in keeping parts flowing when 15% of the supply base was either closed down or capacity was severely constrained. It was a large accomplishment given the prevailing wisdom in April 2020 that a months long shut down may have been inevitable. We keep building and kept revenue coming in for the business. Many strategies were deployed to support the business...would love to talk to you about them sometime.
