Since March 1972 I have been the chief chemist at Medical Chemical Corporation, a manufacturer of in-vitro diagnostic devices and germicides. I’ve also been the vice president in charge of R&D since 1992. During this time I have supervised all aspects of development, manufacturing and testing of in-vitro diagnostic reagents and nonprescription drugs. My duties also included: technical interface with customers, registration of products with the EPA and FDA, writing material safety data sheets, product development and general problem solving. Some of my accomplishments have been:• Bringing the firm into GMP compliance. • Establishing a quality control program for finished products and raw materials. • Originating and validating analytical procedures. • Setting up and maintaining a system of standards for control of laboratory procedures. • Originating and implementing test protocols and stability studies of germicides and drug products while complying with GLP requirements. Prior to working for Medical Chemical corp. I worked in the laboratory at UCLA Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
