I worked for ten years as guard in the galleries of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In February of 2023, Simon & Schuster published my memoir, ALL THE BEAUTY IN THE WORLD, which the Associated Press called “hauntingly beautiful… A work of art as luminous as the old master paintings that comforted him in his grief.” The book has been praised in the New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, the Guardian, and elsewhere, and I have appeared on NPR Weekend Edition, WNYC, CBS news, and in the pages of The New Yorker. Presently, I am giving talks and making appearances with the help of my speakers agent, Authors Unbound, and I am particularly interested in connecting with art museums around the country. I also lead occasional “insider’s tours” through the galleries of the Met.
