My name is Patrick and I have a background with skills and experience in media and communications with qualifications in journalism, ICT, photoshop, digital marketing and economics to name a few.In 2016, I created and founded Kilo Media and Analysis. The company was based mainly around the Navigator Media website and magazine. This focused on current affairs, social issues and cultural topics. As the site progressed, I went on to develop podcasts and video content. I learned many skills during this time, from SEO, website and magazine design, producing and editing podcasts and videos as well as managing a team of nearly 30 people. I also had to develop networking skills and learn about funding for start-ups. Between 2018 and the end of 2021, I worked for Ozanam House Resource Centre working on their social media and ICT. I managed the content of the social channels which include our Microsoft Office accounts, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter & Facebook along with building a larger community of followers of our products and services. As well as this, I created marketing strategies for our fundraising, recruitment and brand recognition using social media as well as email. Alongside this, I was responsible for all of our blog posts, newsletters and promotional material including flyers, brochures and presentations. This was something I enjoyed very much. As this role grew, I took over ICT operations which entail troubleshooting and taking on bigger projects like working with Salesforce to develop a CRM, working with Virgin Media and Dublin City Council to implement a new Wifi system and installing a new server for the centre.As 2021 ended, I took on a role as a media analyst in Public Relay. This involved analysing and processing information that was then used to shape media strategies for some of the largest organisations in the U.S., including the largest lobbying group in American politics the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (I was the lead on this account), the world's largest payroll processer ADP and the world's largest financial services conglomeration Berkshire Hathaway.In the of summer of 2022, I became an Activity Leader for DCU Language Services. I organised events and activities for students and liaised with group leaders around logistics and accommodation.Currently, I am working for Minister for State Joe O'Brien. My main responsibilities are dealing with casework from constituents on a wide range of topics including transport, housing and health, writing PR pieces, managing social media channels and helping with constituency clinics.
