My wife and I developed the business concept for BCV based on prior wine shopping experiences and what we really enjoyed about our favorite stores. We both worked at the store infusing it with our skills and personalities. Our mission was to provide our Boise Valley customers with an unusual and interesting selection of wines from worldwide sources in a friendly, educational and unpretentious wine shop. Prices ranged from $6 to $15 with a selection of higher priced wines up to $100 a bottle. We grew a loyal customer base that trusted our recommendations, appreciated the hands-on customer service and enjoyed the low prices. Customers commented on our wine selection as one of the most diverse they have seen. We sourced styles of wine not often seen at other retailers in the area and offered our customers something new at an affordable price. Many customers commented that they have never purchased a bottle from Bueno Cheapo Vino that they did not like. I believe this reflects not only our skill at choosing inventory, but also demonstrates our focus on learning our customer preferences and helping them select the right wines.
