For your consideration, here is a summary of my professional experience in mining exploration mainly in Africa. First, I would like to mention that I grew up in the Middle East and Africa. This gave me the experience and confidence of living abroad in a different social and cultural environments.I worked for AREVA SA for 13 years, alternating between technical and managerial positions.Over the years, I spent significant time on-site at Areva Uranium projects worldwide (Australia, Canada , Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Niger,) supervising or executing geophysical surveys (airborne, ground, downhole logging), including managing equipment and programs, as well as training local staff.Furthermore, I alternated with expatriate management positions in Kazakhstan (1 year - gold), Madagascar (3 years - uranium) and Mali (3 years – gold). In each case, I was in charge of the local Areva subsidiary, dealing with authorities and implementing exploration programs (geology, geochemistry, geophysics, drilling, etc).I left AREVA in 2007 to start my own technical services company, ULC Afrique de l’Ouest, based in Niamey (Niger). I gained significant experience managing and growing ULC, and can now say that I know the exploration world from the perspective of both client and service provider.Unfortunately, the commodity crisis combined with security issues in West Africa have led me to wind down ULC’s activities. I am now looking for an opportunity matching my core skills and extensive experience.
