My name is Patrick Bruning. For the last ten years I have been employed as the General Manager of The Good King Tavern in Philadelphia, a privately owned but very reputable French Restaurant and bar in the Bella Vista neighborhood. In my tenure I have acquired a vast array of skills making me a very hirable candidate for any managerial position across many fields. While onsite management in the hospitality industry is critical, my skillset at large traverses just restauranting. In my position, I've performed such duties as high level strategy, accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and point of sale programming/manipulation, to name a few. I have a sharp mind and a strong problem solver. I take a lot of ownership in any project and always see things through to their maximum completion. Recently, I completed a Masters of Business at the University of Louisville. With a rigorous online workload for schooling paired with an unyielding professional work schedule, often up to 65 hours a week just onsite alone, this provides a strong example of work ethic, individual motivation, and measurable success rate. After much time and consideration, and with no love lost towards it, I've made a decision to leave the hospitality industry and focus on using my degree in a more comprehensive way, with a company excited at the potential I have. I am eager to join a new company in some capacity and an opportunity to work high-level within it. My commitment to place on my resume speaks for itself, spending ten years with my present company, and growing and excelling alongside its continued success amidst many hardships like saturation of market and a global pandemic. My position in hospitality has provided me with a vast comprehension of Point of Sale from on multiple different platforms. In my role, I have programmed the POS of multiple locations, using a varied array of applications and method for the most streamlined service based on concept and place. Within the POS I have integrated other necessary functions for thorough reporting. Including but not limited to: product, modifications, inventory, schedule, and payroll. Additionally, with my continued experience in my field in accounting, paired with my recent educational exploits, I would make a great candidate for any financial or strategy manager. This is to say, I think I could thrive in any position offered.
