Work advising on the implications of the introduction of the euro for existing and new debt issuance resulted in a transfer to the firm's financial services regulatory practice in early 2000. Regulatory work was mostly undertaken for investment banks, exchanges and clearing houses and involved a clear focus on derivatives business and related counterparty risk management. Included secondments to ABN AMRO Bank (3 months in summer 2001 focusing on cash management products) and Morgan Stanley (6 months from August 2002 in Equities Sales and Trading Legal).
