Sitting on stage in Carnegie Hall about to perform in front of two thousand people, I wondered, “How did a chemical engineer get here?” This was no fluke, it was the culmination of years pursuing what I love. In this next stage of my life, chemical engineering will take center stage because it, too, is what I love. I have two summers’ experience in chemical manufacturing where I worked on plant drawing verification, utilities monitoring, and improvement project planning. I served in multiple leadership roles, including a year as president of my school’s chapter of AIChE. Always looking to better myself, I independently earned my Six Sigma Lean Green Belt. I aspire to begin my career in a plant and to one day manage it.I am a determined, dedicated, and passionate chemical engineer with the ability to excel in any environment, be it Carnegie hall or a chemical plant.
