As an environmental and health & safety professional, I enjoy the opportunity to work with my clients and colleagues in providing effective solutions to their problems. The new expanded opportunities that WSP's acquisition of Wood, structure allows me access to unlimited technical resources and experience which benefit my clients and strengthen our local team. As a Canadian Certified Environmental Practitioner (EP) and a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), I have experience in assessing and managing health, safety and environmental issues across Canada.I am a founding member of our Asbestos Safety Board, and a leader in WSP's Global Practice Area Network in the fields of Site Investigation and Remediation, Decommissioning and Demolition and Industrial Hygiene and Hazardous Materials. In my role, I provide technical input into the direction and management of these practices, connect technical specialists, mentor young staff and contribute to our technical review program. I also have a special interest in applied scientific research.As a specialist in hazardous building materials, I am experienced in assessment and abatement of asbestos, mould, lead and other regulated substances, facility decommissioning, preparation of project specifications and facility management. Geoenvironmental experience includes subsurface soil and groundwater assessment, design and implementation of remedial action plans, design and construction of in-situ remediation systems, emergency spill response, risk assessment and environmental policy. Occupational hygiene and safety experience includes indoor air quality assessments, construction, noise, exposure assessments, heat stress, safety audits and preparation of training programs and safe work practices.
