Patrick Carman is a New York Times bestselling children's author, speaker, children's lit futurist, and entrepreneur. Since 1998 Mr. Carman has been President of PC Studio, Inc. where he writes and creates a variety of groundbreaking new ways for kids to read books. The company has developed software platforms for some of the biggest brands in publishing, which Mr. Carman has also written for, including Skeleton Creek, 39 Clues, Towervale, and Voyagers. These publishing projects merge technology with reading in a variety of ways (online video platforms, gaming systems, apps, and online activities). PC Studio projects have sold over 50 million books across 40 titles for Harper Collins, Random House, and Scholastic.In 2021, Mr. Carman co-founded GoKidGo, where he created scripted podcasts for kids of all ages including hits Bobby Wonder, Lucy Wow, Snoop and Sniffy, Story Train, Floozeville, Whale of a Tale, and R.L. Stine's Story Club. He was the founding creative director from January 2021 to September 2022. Mr. Carman started his career in advertising and marketing in Portland, Oregon in the early '90s. For the next decade, his agency created work for Hollywood Video, Intel, and Nautilus Fitness, among many others. In 2001, Mr. Carman started mywebpal.com, a technology company that specialized in taking newspapers online. Over a period of five years, the company became the second-largest provider in the United States, hosting over 180 newspapers on its proprietary platform. In 2007, Mr. Carman’s first book was published by Scholastic, Inc. and went on to become a New York Times Bestseller. Over the next decade, Patrick wrote dozens of bestsellers for Scholastic, Random House, Little Brown, and Harper Collins. He currently has over five million books in print across 23 countries. Mr. Carman has spoken live to over a million kids at over 3000 schools across the country and given keynote addresses at national events including the National Book Festival, ALA, Book Expo, the LA Book Festival, and Comic-Con. He is known as a top leader in creative development, multi-platform storytelling, and worldbuilding.
