Medicaid, Medicare, and Veterans Administration benefits can be confusing, especially to families facing an immediate need for skilled nursing care. I work with care facilities, funeral directors, the government, and others to ensure that people get the best care without losing their hard-earned savings. I prepare Special Needs Trusts and other planning for people with a disability. Sometimes it is necessary to petition a court for guardianship, and I draw on my extensive litigation experience to handle those matters. I then counsel guardians on their responsibilities.
