Network Technician
Provided technical assistance to computer system users. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems. Installation of networks and maintaining them (from cabling to installing servers, networking equipment such as switches,wireless access points etc.). Conduct Server/backup (on and offsite) maintenance and monitoring for many clients and networks.Skills and Abilities:· Computer Support: Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software. Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.· Computers and Systems: Setup, install and configure computers to include needed software. Monitor and maintain networks of different sizes. This includes onsite and off (remotely). Workstation deployment using tried and true best-practices and various software tools to make roll-out of new workstations more efficient. Setup and configure Servers and backup solutions.· Configuration/ Management — Automated installation software; Deployment software; Patch management software. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities. Administration/Management of Servers to include Exchange 2007, Windows Server 2003, 2008,2012, Active Directory.· Other services conducted: Wireless, cabling (installation,terminations,testing), network configurations, disaster recovery, fiber optics, Android and Iphone/Pad. Knowledgeable in Dells, HP, Cisco, IBM products. Installation and configuration of security cameras.· Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships
