I feel like my experience as a student at Loyola University Chicago as taught me more both inside and outside of the classroom than I have learned in my entire life. Loyola is a Jesuit Institution that has a reputation, like all Jesuit Institutions, for providing students with not only depth of knowledge, but also breadth of knowledge as well. As a Operations Management major in the School of Business and a history minor in the College of Arts and Sciences, I have been challenged by a number of professors to develop intellectually and expand my world view. One of the things I value from my education at Loyola and simply the inherent nature of such a large and multi-national city like Chicago is diversity – cultural, religious, ethnic, geographical, intellectual, and economic diversity. Surrounding myself with professors and fellow students who are driven to live extraordinary lives, I have to been inspired and driven to “go out and set the world on fire” and make some sort of difference in today’s world for the better.
