Mr. Patrick Chenel was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group up to June 18 2018, a multinational corporation founded in 1890, with a strong geographical presence across the GCC. Patrick joined the Group in 2014 as Group Chief Financial Officer. Since joining, his focus has been on enabling world class solutions to its customers, through leveraging the Group’s local and global partnerships, with a strong emphasis on the highest ethical standards. Patrick has held numerous roles across the Middle East since he moved to the region in 2007. During his previous role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of satellite telecom operator, Thuraya, he was instrumental in the financial restructuring of the Group. As CFO of Qatari based, Diar Real Estate Investment Company (The real estate arm of the Qatar Investment Authority),Since beginning his career in 1989 with leading technology company Alcatel, he has gained extensive experience in overseeing business performance and strategic growth initiatives and held several senior positions in finance, acting as a business partner and advisor. Notable roles Patrick has held include his position, as Senior Vice President Finance in 2003 for the Alcatel Optics Division (2Bn. turnover).
