Project: Tianqi Lithium Kwinana - Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant (TLK LHPP).• Involved as part of the project’s Lead EPC contractor’s mechanical design team, building both stages of the TLK Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant.• Responsible for maintaining and updating the project’s mechanical equipment list (MEL) to provide reliable information on each equipment tag; linking vendor data, equipment package information, process data information and power consumption requirements for easy reference of other engineering disciplines.• Liaise with drafting engineers and P&ID designers on equipment tagging allocation, adhering to project equipment naming specifications. Ensuring any mechanical tagging additions/changes are necessary and reflected across all related documents.• Perform solution pump sizing calculations, assist in hydraulic calculations, assist in steel tank design and vent sizing calculations in accordance to statutory standards. Assist package engineers on technical bid evaluations (TBE) for manual valves. Frequently generating datasheets and review vendor data of various mechanical equipments for package engineers.• Provide technical support and solutions to the project team on site and / or clients on mechanical design and plant equipment for all stages of the project. Project: Rio Tinto – Amrun Project• Involved as part of the engineering team working on the Amrun project under client Rio Tinto. This project involves the production and assembly of the Process Facility which include 6 bauxite beneficiation modules, 5 transfer tower modules along with associated water, piping, mechanical, electrical and lighting systems.• Performed task as a field engineer (SMP), providing solutions to inbound queries from site supervisors and workers in relation to material, design, delivery, elevation, assembly procedures, clashes, missing steel work and documentation.• Liaise with consulting representatives from Bechtel regarding design issues and suggesting solutions that are cost and time saving to enable work on-site to continue without hindrance or delays.• Expediting steel work from various in-house departments (fabrication, workshop and paint shop) as well as outsourced contractors to ensure that delivery deadlines are met.• Mark up, document and follow up with any engineering design changes, modification work. Assisting mechanical / construction supervisors on material shortages on-site. Project: Bumi Armada - Husky-CNOOC Madura • Involved on-site engineering and production of 3 modules on the Karapan Armada Sterling III (FPSO) for Husky-CNOOC Madura project under client Bumi Armada.- Part of the Mechanical Completion (MC) team as coordinator. Manage and supervise inspection test reports (ITR) submissions, ensuring the ITRs of all fields (E&I, Mechanical, Piping, Telecoms, Structural) are completed with relevant documentations and meeting deadlines. - Assisted senior engineers in project management and contractor management, learn to liaise with other discipline engineers and contractors to provide superior solutions for technical issues.- Perform regular physical line walk checks on site to ensure contractor’s production progress is up to client’s satisfaction.- Assist project manager to monitor production by constantly following up with respective contractors’ on-site, producing planned schedule and progress reports.- Acquire a clearer understanding on engineering documents.
