Part time up to October 2017 then full time managing a family Seed Company producing certified seeds of maize, groundnuts, beans, soya, cow peas and pigeon peasKey responsibilities Oversee business operations by providing leadership and organisation during production, processing and marketing of the seeds  Develop strategic and business plans and making sure these are implemented effectively Preparing and implementing budgets and monitoring financial performance against budgets Mobilize resources to get planned activities done on time and in compliance with quality objectives Ensure production, processing, distribution and marketing of seeds complies with relevant legislation, standards and requirements at best profit Supervising sectional managers  Conduct management reviews, including calling and chairing management meetings Representing the company at various fora and dealing with external stakeholders

Evaluated and assessed performance of Contract Farming Schemes supported by KULIMA-MIERA and Inclusive Contract Farming Advisory Facility (ICFAF), including assessing efficiency and impact of support provided, scheme successes and challenges for building institutional memory.
