Coordinating all aspects of Board and committee meetings and trusted adviser to the Chairman, CEO, CFO and other Board members.- Advising in relation to negotiation and implementation of customer contracts (primarily sales of cloud-based e-invoicing, trade finance and related services). Also advising in relation to key partnerships with other service providers and in relation to major procurement contracts.- Responsibility for legal, regulatory and compliance aspects for new products and solutions – including launch of new trade finance, data analytics, data sales, invoice capture, purchase order services and payment services.- Responsibility for global compliance issues, including data protection and data security. - Providing general legal advice in relation to other areas – e.g., protection and exploitation of intellectual property, litigation, employment, competition and real estate – including successfully settling several high value employment and commercial claims.- Also previously responsible for Tungsten e-invoicing country compliance and general counsel and responsible for regulatory and compliance matters for Tungsten Bank until sale in December 2016. - Director and company secretary of group legal entities. Partner and Head of the UK Telecoms practice, specialising in providing commercial and regulatory advice to clients in the technology, media and telecoms sectors. Also involved in support for corporate and finance projects involving clients in these sectors. Worked with a broad range of clients from established major international organisations through to technology start-ups from the UK and abroad. Clients included a wide range of US-based technology companies, supporting their entry into UK and other European markets and then assisting them with day-to-day legal and regulatory matters. Particular recent experience of advising clients in relation to the roll-out and operation of businesses involving cloud platforms, mobile applications, advertising and payments alongside more traditional telecoms operators, IT and telecoms vendors and service providers.

Joined US technology vendor Lucent Technologies in 2005 as sole counsel for UK and Ireland. General responsibility for provision of legal and compliance support to the UK and Ireland businesses and legal entities, working in conjunction with EMEA and US-based legal teams. Following the merger between Lucent and Alcatel was appointed Lead Corporate Counsel for the combined legal and contract management team for North Europe and the Vodafone and BT global account teams. Was also a key member of senior leadership teams for the region and global account teams, responsible for legal aspects of risk assessment processes and for the creation, roll-out and enforcement of mainly US-based processes and policies in the region.
