As we transitioned back to a post-pandemic world, new challenges arose in WMF with a need for team cohesion built on a foundation of new processes and tools that fit our current way of working. As the Team Lead, my priorities were to develop and support WMF Material Planners as well as to update our outdated processes, reports, and tools. To build a strong team, I led weekly 1-1 meetings with all WMF Planners where the focus was to hear their challenges and then provide support that led to solutions. These meetings were also an opportunity to help each individual reach their KPI targets. Having these regular 1-1's led to a strong working relationship with the team, with development at the forefront. To improve the way we work, a complete overhaul of our reports and tools needed updating so when the next supply chain crisis comes around, we are ready. Using SQL to structure available data in Databricks, we were able to automate and produce a more timely, reliable, and relevant report that was available via a live connection in PowerBI. This new report was built off of a more modern approach to risk avoidance and became the foundation for communication and dashboards that I built from the data for easy to spot trends and actions needed.

World Material Flow (WMF) is the direct connection between CNH Industrial and its Suppliers. With the Supply Chain & Logistics challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic brought upon us, this responsibility was more important than ever to keep our plants up and running. In this position, I managed the critical supplier process to ensure that our WMF supported plants can run at full capacity. It was my responsibility to find creative and time sensitive solutions to material delays that would lead to production loss without action. Being the direct point of contact for both our WMF production plants and our suppliers, clear and direct communication with actionable steps is a necessity in this role. Along with managing this process and our supplier relations, continuous process improvement projects using my technical data management skills that fill in the gaps to adapt the process for current conditions were vital for success in this role.

In this role, I provided data insight, technical solutions, and support for World Material Flow, Inbound, and Finished Goods Logistics. With the fast changing environment that the COVID-19 brought to Supply Chain and Logistics, it was vital to be agile and provide both quick and lasting solutions so that our operations could continue to thrive. I used my programming language skills with both R Studio and Python to provide transit time rules that better reflect reality and expectations. I provided immediate and lasting support between CNH and our partners by creating a Ocean Container Booking Tool that is self sustaining, supports dozens of users, and provides a seamless gateway of information that was previously bogged down and inaccurate.

As an inventory control analyst, it is vital to ensure the accuracy of our parts inventory by using statistical and analytical tools. When I took this role, it was a tedious process of collected large data sets, leaving little time for analysis. I used my process improvement mindset to automate the vast majority of my role, so that making sense of the data and making decisions based on what the data was telling us was the focus, rather than simply data collection. Through tools such as QlikSense, Excel, and IBM Cognos, I leveraged the business systems available to give us more room to be proactive, rather than reactive.
