I have had a variety of positions, including tech support, system administration, software QA, and now software development. My experience with SurfControl peaked my interest in Microsoft SQL Server, which was used as the back-end database engine for SurfControl's web filter products. Since then I have enjoyed expanding my knowledge of SQL, with a focus on T-SQL query writing. Also, since starting at WideOrbit I've been exploring Powershell, and in a short time have already discovered that it's ability to interface with MS SQL Server has made tasks much easier to automate.Coming from a tech support background and resolving user emergencies on a regular basis has made clear to me the importance of customer service and clear communication skills in this industry. I take pride in being a bridge between development and the less technically inclined, be they end users or internal resources needing clarification on technical matters.While I've yet to apply this to my professional life, in my free time I enjoy tinkering with my Arduino platform and have been slowly increasing my knowledge of electrical engineering, at least on an amateur level.Specialties: Microsoft SQL Server, PowerShell, Delphi
