From CDC News, Reed Bulletin, DemandStar, etc. to private, local, and state government websites, I gathered information and procured whatever documents (plans, specifications, addendums, pre-qualification) needed to successfully bid and be awarded the project. I set up attendance at pre-bid meetings if required. Placed all info on the company calendar for meetings and bid dates. Set up documents for uploading to our planroom and to The Blue Book. Send Invitations To Bid thru email and fax. Answering questions or forwarding to Architect for response. Constantly checking for and then sending notices of any changes or addendums. Gathering the required information to procure bid bonds from the bonding company. Sorting and highlighting pertinent information on the proposals and clarifying any missing information. Helping estimator work thru the proposals. Helping to set up the bid packet. Helping to insure bid packet got to the bid opening on time. Acquiring the results of the bid opening and dispersing that information to the bond company and contractors that bid the project for us. Then the bidding process.We always received bid documents in paper form at Kalemeris. I continued to help produce Contracts and Change Orders and Purchase Orders (from pre-made templates), and then I started to gathered information and procured whatever documents (plans, specifications, addendums, pre-qualification) needed to successfully bid and be awarded construction projects that the owner brought in. Everything was done by paper mostly so I broke the plans and specs down into bid packets for each trade and dispersed to subcontractors wanting to bid. Sent Invitations To Bid thru email and fax. Energy and UtilitiesMapping and Digitizing Utility maps and equipment using CADD and Microstation programs directly into our client's database. We created a searchable data map for our clients in the utility industry.I started out on the floor in Scrubbing, which means I gathered information for CADD to place in the ID for that material. After my Manager found out that I could decipher Work Orders from paper documents because on my construction background, I was moved to Work Order Posting. Then I started to teach new employees how to Scrub and Work Order Post, then I had to make up my own class material. Then I went from a 3 hour class to a 3 week class teaching new and existing employees how to work on our project. Then I learned how to post in Microstation on a computer and then we went directly into Qwest (Baby Bell Telephone) database and posted their records.
