I conduct research dives at the Texas A&M Offshore Technology Research Center. The center houses a 55-foot-deep artificial wave pool where companies come to test equipment for oil rigs and other offshore operations. As a research diver, I setup these projects and gain hands-on experience working with some of industry’s most innovative and up-to-date technology. The center also has a machine shop where student workers mill and drill to create parts to intuitively troubleshoot complex problems.

The Cyber-Spectrum Collaborative Research Environment is a cyberwarfare-oriented team project designed for a small group of ROTC cadets and midshipmen, where team leads create a project objective with the guidance of a program mentor and team members work together to manifest the designated project. Team members are expected to learn critical cyber defense and design skills through this uinique paid research opportunity.

Corps Staff manages the entire cadet corps. Its members manage designated chains (PR, Operations, Training, Finance, etc.). A junior cadet on Corps Staff holds the rank of Master Sergeant and is the direct link between all major units and outfits across the Quad (cadet living quarters) and the officers on Corps Staff, specifically for a designated chain. There is only one junior cadet per chain; vetting and interview process is competitive.

Aggie Eagle Post is a special distinguished by selfless service and consists of cadets whom have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. 1st Sergeant position is interviewed for and awarded based off of merit and ability to lead and manage an entire unit of cadets. Job responsibilities include executing commander's orders and intent and being a direct link between all unit members and chain of command. 1st Sergeant is directly responsible for all members of the outfit and the success of special unit.

While at the individual unit level, I managed my unit's media presence, overall public relations, and inspector general operations. This involved creating a hand-coded website of which was used for recruiting and news updates.

The Texas A&M University Fish Drill Team is a cadet special unit designated only for freshmen but run by upperclassmen who were former members themselves. As a freshman I was a member of the exhibition team where I performed special drill exhibition tosses and precision movements. In February of 2020, I participated in the National Drill Championship at Tulane University in New Orleans against the top drill units in the country from competing military colleges and academies. I returned home to Texas A&M with the rest of my teammates with the 1st Place National Championship Title in hand. As a sophomore, I returned to the drill field as one of only eight hand-picked sophomore advisors. Sophomore advisors are directly responsible for the training and success of the freshmen drill team and for turning individuals with little-to-no experience into confident, precise, and determined teammates who bring back the 1st Place Title each and every year. This experience has been one of the most rewarding experiences and critical lessons in effective leadership and the art of mentorship.

I was a Camp Counselor for TRAILS Camp (Training Adolescents In Leadership Skills), a Georgia 4H-funded program for high school teens who come from active duty military families across the country, usually where one parent is deployed. Culminating in Florida, the aim of the program is to teach leadership and life skills to young people to give them the confidence and the tools to overcome the challenges they face in their everyday lives while simultaneously fostering an appreciation for the outdoors. At TRAILS, the campers enjoy a fun two weeks getting to explore state parks in Florida while being put through leadership challenges meant to teach specific learning lessons and foster creativity. I was a counselor for two years and enjoyed getting to know other kids who came from similar backgrounds as myself, while teaching important life skills and exploring and exposing campers to the unique natural places in Florida that I love so much.
