The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MICRRH) network. The incumbent oversees community relations and ensures infrastructure, resources, finances, services and the administrative functions of the Centre support the current and future strategic and operational needs of MICRRH.The incumbent provides detailed financial management and leadership in managing the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy, coordination of MICRRH infrastructure development and facilities management.As a unit within the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine (James Cook University) it encompasses human and animal health professional areas and related biomedical science disciplines. The Division has a particular focus on the health of rural, remote and Indigenous Australian communities and tropical medicine.The Colleges of the Division include: Medicine and Dentistry, Healthcare Science, Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences.The Centre is located in Mount Isa with nodes in Cloncurry, Burketown, Weipa and Longreach, MICRRH serves the large geographic region of outback Queensland. New s19 whole of Garrawa Land Trust Mustering Agreement (providing co-ordinating authority & responsibility to the Corporation for the conduct of the whole of Land Trust Cattle Muster; & 3. New s19 over Lot 64 (the area allocated as the Sports Oval/Recreation area & Lot 99 (the Mechanical compound) to allow for the expansion into the Land Trust of Lot 64 to enable construct of a new AFL Sports Oval & related buildings/ammenities & infrastructure. Total capital cost >$1.5M of which already secured. New 500 meter section of sealed roadway past the power station & total reseal the road-surfaces in community >$1.5M.
