I have been a solicitor since 1981 and have worked in restructuring and insolvency since 1983. I hold an insolvency practitioner's licence. I am a partner in Burges Salmon LLP and leader of the firm's Corporate Turnaround and Insolvency group, which is a team of 30 or so lawyers including 8 partners with varied background skills (finance, real estae, corporate, disputes, pensions, employment etc.) who spend at least 50% of their time on restructuring, turnaround or insolvency related matters. I live in Somerset and work in London and Bristol, more or less on a 50/50 basis, and of course elsewhere as demand requires me to.
