Second director of the private pay program of the non-profit Senior Services for South Sound, producing first and continued positive cash flow for SSCC program. Care Connection assesses and provides non-medical in-home care for seniors in Thurston and Mason counties. In-home caregiver placement, long term care planning and referral, family consultations, support group facilitation, Alzheimer’s education and support. Supervised an office staff of three, plus two field social worker staff, and oversaw and supported more than 100 associated and referred caregivers, housekeepers and other home service providers, as well as their clients. SSEF acts as the social services program for Senior Services, assisting, aiding and referring clients to appropriate resources. Prepared budgets, business plans, client assessments and evaluations, helped plan and implement caregiver retreats and support programs. Also other SSSS duties as assigned or needs, including fund raising activities, public speaking and representation. Writing monthly newspaper columns.

Progressive employment starting as DAL operator and driver representative for ATU contract negotiations, then becoming P.A.S.S. (Paratransit Automated Scheduling System) Administrator. and Training Officer for Paratransit Division staff; Acting-Manager, Paratransit Division in absence of Manager, including payroll timesheet collection and processing. Supervisory roles included duties over drivers, vehicles, schedules and routes. Also performed dispatching, scheduling, routing, reservations, ADA rider certification, database management, client liaison, travel training alternatives and conflict resolution.

Providing confidential research services in communication and healthcare while managing family business. Contract healthcare provider with Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS/COPES). Providing liaison services for disabled senior citizens with various and appropriate city, county, state and private agencies, and, in some cases, providing representation before state review agencies.

Successfully managed international collaborative research project between EWC and the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR) office of the Consulting Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), The Hague, Netherlands. Collaborated with colleagues at Wageningen University and Research Centre, Wageningen, Netherlands, Project conducted in selected South Pacific island nations and Southeast Asia nations, I coordinated activities, employed and supervised local contract workers, conducted budget reviews working with three fiscal cycles. Also assisted and worked independently in preparation, planning and presentation of annual professional seminars on satellite, computer and communication technologies.
