G5 Plans Officer for 34ID. Responsible for leading an Operational and/or Joint Planning Team (O/JPT) to develop, coordinate, synchronize, write and brief concept and operational plans and operations orders for 34ID, in support of JFHQ-MN, as well as for potential contingency and crisis response operations. Provides subject matter expertise (SME) to the organization on Army and joint planning processes and joint military operations with an expanded perspective of theater strategic to operational warfighting concepts. Serves as 34ID representative on the Legislative Working Group and the J5 Plans Update Briefing. Plans and coordinates the Quarterly Commander's Call (QCC). Coordinates the 34ID input for the Quarterly Readiness Conference.

Battalion Commander of a towed artillery battalion of 505 Soldiers. Establish and implement programs and policy that develops a disciplined, resilient, ready force that can accomplish state and federal missions. Responsible for the overall individual and unit readiness levels resulting from management of training, personnel, leadership development and logistics. Provides mission guidance and intent for the development of operational plans and orders, approves final orders, and oversees execution of operations to ensure mission accomplishment. Responsible for execution of budget and accountability/maintenance of assigned battalion equipment/property. Makes final determination or recommendation for awarding and disciplining Soldiers assigned to the battalion.

Lead the Training Support Unit Staff in the production and synchronization of products and events to meet the Commander's objectives and accomplish collective training events. Ensure synchronization between the FTS and TDA staff to ensure a coordinated effort in meeting the Commander's responsibilities in operations, resources and management for tenant units, units in training and civilian organizations. Ensure the effective and efficient utilization of resources in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Work with sections to develop and implement appropriate environmental, safety, MWR, natural resources, and public information programs across the installation. Facilitate inter-agency activities for unit training events. Conduct community outreach engagements to build community relations. Serve as MSC OIC and represent Garrison Commander and Senior Commander in their absence.
