Portfolio Manager Global Equities Joined the CN Investment Division in 1994. He was first an Asia Pacific equity Financial Analyst and subsequently covered global consumer stocks as a Senior Investment Officer. Later, he was part of the team that initiated an internally managed emerging market portfolio. Investments were initially focused in Taiwan, Korea and China. Shortly after the initiation of this portfolio, Mr. Courval became the Portfolio Manager of Emerging Market Equities and expanded the country coverage to include Brazil. He has been the portfolio manager of developed market Asia Pacific equities since June 2014. This is a C$1.5bn portfolio that includes Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand.He is currently portfolio manager Global Equities with a focus on Consumer stocks. Mr. Courval has been editor of four annual reports of the CN Investment Division. He is also part of the Canadian Accounting Standard Board (AcSB) User Advisory Council. The purpose of the Council of to provide feedback to help the AcSB develop high quality and relevant accounting standards. He holds a bachelor degree from HEC, Montreal (Class of 1991) as well as an MBA from McGill University (Class of 1995). He has also been a CFA charter holder since 1998.Husband and father of 2 amazing daughters.
