Leveraging the regenerative potential of the insect biome to add biodiversity back into agriculture. Launched Chapul in 2012 as the first insect protein product on the US market. Breaking down cultural barriers, we are normalizing edible insects with award-winning CPG food products, in order to create a pull-through demand for the sustainable potential of insect agriculture. From hand-making energy bars in a small kitchen, to a crowd-funded start-up, then on to winning an investment from Mark Cuban on the hit TV show, Shark Tank, we have created an international presence and ignited a revolution that is challenging the boundaries of food.In 2019 I launched Chapul Farms as a way to continue growing the regenerative potential of insects to bio-convert food and ag waste into healthy foods and microbial rich soil. We work with selected domestic and international insect farms to scale their operations and provide the highest quality insect products to B2C and B2B markets. As project developers, we are building some of the world's largest insect farms, focused on un-compromising sustainability metrics. I've been interviewed and quoted by CNN, Huffington Post, Wall Street Journal, NY Times, and has spoken from TEDx, University, and International stages.

Co-FounderTrue Voice Jan 2015 - Jan 2019Salt Lake City, UsPat Crowley's career path has taken him from surf guide, to whitewater rafting guide, to hydrologist, to now insect-eating entrepreneur, all driven for his passion to ensure a more sustainable water future. After a year of hitchhiking through Mexico and Central America, Pat Crowley returned to the US and received a M.S. in Watershed Hydrology, intending to use his education towards solving global water dilemmas he witnessed in his travels. His concern for our water future here at home increased as he observed the disproportionate rate of water consumption vs. availability. His early career path focused on agricultural water conservation, the largest global consumer of freshwater resources. After having worked for public water-planning agencies, Pat decided to address the issue from the consumer level, when he co-founded Chapul in 2012. His mission now is to introduce insects into Western cuisine as more water-resource efficient form of food. Pat is currently the CEO of Chapul, LLC, maker of the award winning Original Cricket Bar, and member of Mark Cuban Companies shortly after his appearance on ABC's hit show, 'Shark Tank' in March 2014. -
