After taking on this position a year ago, SCI now has partnership focal points in each regional and country office, and has common procedures for partner scoping, selection, agreement, monitoring and capacity strengthening.

My accomplishments include developing SC's Partnership Framework for working with national partners; leading SC’s urban programming approach; mobilizing support for an SC-wide gender equality policy; and overseeing a three-year innovation fund that led to SC’s first set of Common Approaches. Promoted from Senior Director to AVP in 2012.

Led a multi-sectoral team of specialists to articulate Save the Children's holistic approach to youth programming, focusing on formative and protective services for younger adolescents, particularly girls.

Led Save the Children's health, education, livelihoods and protection programs in 10 governorates. Established relations with GoE ministries, donors and national and regional NGOs. Developed and scaled district-based approaches to programming involving partnership with government departments and civil society. Doubled the portfolio, securing awards from the World Bank, USAID, Ford Foundation, ExxonMobil Foundation, UNICEF, Italian private sources, and others.

Led this USAID-funded program to strengthen civil society's links to citizen constituencies, and to support advocacy as a means of representation.Program occurred during Georgia's 2003 Rose Revolution, after which NGOs contributed to new government's policy agenda.

Led the NGO grants and outreach program of the NGO Service center, a large USAID-funded program to strengthen Egypt's NGO sector's ties to the country's citizenry and engage them with government policy makers and service providers.

Lived and worked as a volunteer in the remote villages of Bayad el Arab, where I led the development of our community-based economic development programs, including village loan funds, improved livestock breeds, piloting desert reclamation technologies, and small industry promotion. I also led fieldworker exchange programs with groups from Jordan, Sudan, Egypt and elsewhere.
