I am an R&D chemical laboratory technician with over 15 years experience. It’s satisfying being able to utilize those little secrets nature has so lovingly left hidden for us to find.I have worked both in R&D and customer support—gravitating toward laboratory procedures (such as titration methods and cross-sections), analytical instrumentation (ranging from HPLC to Hardness tester), and data collection.I’m friendly and personable, though while at work I enjoy focusing on work. I regularly interact with an international team, sales reps, vendors, and customers; and am fully capable to communicate, collaborate, and cooperate.As an R&D chemical laboratory technician, I have worked with computer components that require strict guidelines and specifications. Cleanliness and component purity are essential and necessitate high levels of quality control. The time sensitive processes involved with these components require close monitoring, frequent analyses, and continued adjustments to maximize excellence.Good recordkeeping is an absolute must. I maintain a detailed notebook so experiments are reproducible and results are clearly defined. This is especially useful in writing reports that are concise and easy to understand. I am in charge of purchase orders for my department; processing all new chemicals and supplies. And I am responsible for maintaining an up to date chemical inventory.
