Planned and directed the site work and building construction for a 76-unit, mid-rise, multi-family, residential development, with non-invasive medical facilities on the second floor, and shell space for a commercial Tenant Improvement (restaurants, bars, and offices) on the first floor.Provided design-assist services to the developer, architects, and engineers during the design of 172 ~ 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments over an existing parking garage, through the pricing of alternative technical concepts, constructability reviews, and the collection of as-built data from the existing garage via destructive and non-destructive testing.

Providing consulting services to GLF, including business development services, contract administration, estimating, scheduling, and the preparation of proposals and claims.

Provided head-office support to the site construction team on MSC Cruises’ destination island in the Bahamas (final contract value – $80M USD). Served as the company's primary point of contact with the Owner's construction team, preparing all outgoing communications and documents. Prepared progress reports required by the project financiers.

Led a multi-discipline team of design professionals during the pre-construction phase of the project, aligning the final design with the strengths and experiences of the company. Managed procurement during the pre-construction phase.

Partnered with the incumbent project manager during the last year of construction to close out the project on time, through improved productivity and the development and implementation of cost-effective solutions to technical issues, chief among them being the means and methods used to build the port access road along extremely soft soils and used to stabilize the cargo storage area on soft dredge spoils.

On a consulting basis, provided contract administration, estimating, scheduling and field supervision services to Gimrock Construction, Inc.

Collaborated with the Owner, Architects, and Engineers to develop the scope of work on a design/build project valued at approximately $10M USD. Prepared cost estimates, schedules, and cost reports for Owner, negotiated and administered construction contracts, procured construction materials.Major items of work included corrective construction/renovation of 10,000 sf luxury spa and its associated grounds, pool and Bohios, infrastructure upgrades (potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems) and stabilization of 80,000 sf of collapsing rock face through a combination of rock bolting, soil nailing and shotcreting.

Designed the superstructure for the replacement bridge on Hwy 11/17 over the Stillwater Creek. Designed a superstructure jacking system for pier replacement/realignment on the South Br. over the Kaministiquia River at Stanley. Performed bascule bridge weight and balance calculations for the deck removal at the Jack-Knife Bridge over the Kaministiquia River in Thunder Bay.

Produced 40 miles of 12 foot-long segments in 195 casting days, for deployment in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.• American Airlines Baggage Handling Facility, Miami International Airport – 110,000 sf pre-engineered metal building supported on 108 - 48" drilled shafts, static tension test of drilled shaft, perimeter trench drains, MEP packages.

Hired as project engineer on I-95 extension contract in Palm Beach County, FL; promoted to project manager.Coordinated the construction activities self-performed by the company with those of 18 subcontractors and numerous suppliers.Work involved greenfield construction of 7 miles of divided interstate highway complete with dredging, earthwork, MSE walls, drainage, lighting, landscaping, striping and installation of other appurtenances. Structures included 2 simple span plate girder bridges, a continuous multi-span curved plate girder bridge, 5 multi-span AASHTO beam bridges and a multi-span post-tensioned segmented AASHTO beam bridge.

Coordinated the construction activities self-performed by the company with those of its subcontractors and suppliers. Prepared schedules, cost reports and technical submittals. Designed the wale and strut bracing system for the sheet pile cofferdams on the 1,200 ft. long cut-and-cover vehicular tunnel. Redesigned the drainage system to route around the north ramp of the tunnel rather than pass under the deepest part of the tunnel seal. Re-designed the tremie slab from a gravity seal to a thinner, anchored seal, utilizing an innovative tension anchor developed, proof-tested and installed in-house.

Replaced 4 timber trestle railway bridges, on a double track alignment, with steel, simple-span, ballasted bridges. Demolished and rebuilt the substructures while maintaining train traffic on the existing spans, adjoined by temporary trestles above the new abutments at each end. In collaboration with the General Contractor developed an hour-by-hour superstructure erection schedule, whereby the existing bridge spans and temporary trestles were removed and the new steel spans were erected in 2 consecutive 24-hour days during a complete closure to train traffic.

Designed a 1.5-mile-long system of 5 sets of alternating railway tracks and roads c/w the storm drainage system, for performing in-train maintenance. Performed field inspection of the work during the first season of construction.
