About Patrick Dacosta
In 2016, I moved to Lynchburg Virginia from western Colorado to study commercial music at Liberty University. Although I have a passion for music, I discovered that I have a greater love for creative problem solving and hands-on manufacturing. Combining these skills with an aptitude for mathematics and science, I decided to pursue a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since joining the engineering program at Liberty University, I have gained a position as a lead manufacturing equipment operator/trainer, and have earned the title of Lead Design Engineer on the school's ASME Human Powered Vehicle Challenge team. While I am not engaged in academic and career pursuits, I enjoy being outdoors, playing violin or piano, and doing automotive repairs and maintenance.
