Experienced Ecologist who has over five years of experience in ecology. I have recently gained a class one GCN licence, CSCS card and I am currently working to ACIEEM membership. I am currently self-employed and able to undertake ECoW supervision and protected species surveysDuring my time employed at enims, I undertook various ECoW for large scale infrastructure projects across the South of England as well as the Midlands. Whilst working at enims I have most recently completed a 12-month secondment with Kier Highways in Area 7. Whilst there I prepared and submitted baseline ecological reports for upcoming highways schemes which included environmental records searching, creating QGIS maps and liaising with a wide variety of engineering design teams and members of the Highways England asset and environment teams. I also gained experience writing PoWRA, Environmental Alert Forms, ECoW Diaries and assisted in writing Environmental Scoping Assessments, Environmental Study Reports including Phase 1, Great Crested Newt, Bats and Water Vole/Otter. Whilst at Kier I also undertook on-site ecological assessments for protected species including great crested newt presence/absence surveys, HSI calculations, bat roost potential assessments for trees and structures, Water vole population surveys, phase 1-habitat assessments and biodiversity offsetting calculations. Complete an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation at Bournemouth University with a grade of merit. Whilst on the course I learnt how to use ArcGIS and R-studio, as well as habitat management conservation and biodiversity ecosystem services. I undertook a six-week placement at Richard Green Ecology Ltd conducting bat surveys along with gaining experience in Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, Dormouse survey techniques, bat call analysis using Analook and BatExplorer and QGIS. Gained ecological surveying experience with Ash Bennett Ecology Ltd. I have survey experience with Bats, Great Crested Newts and Natterjack Toads. Gained experience in a variety of different survey types including eDNA sampling, pitfall/amphibian fencing and presence/absence.Completed a BA Hons in Wildlife in Media receiving an Upper Second Class Honours in the process.Have been on an expedition to Sabah, Borneo. Based in the Lower Kinabatangan. Completing bird, primate and freshwater surveys. Saw a wide range of wildlife including Kingfishers, Hornbills, Bornean Forest Elephant, Proboscis Monkey and Orang-utans. As well as many Reptiles and Amphibians.I also hold the full clean UK driving license as well as my own car.
