I am a Chartered Professional Accountant with a Masters degree in Public Administration. As the Manager of Student Financial Services with the Provincial government, I was responsible for managing the transition of the provincial student loan program from the Credit Unions to a direct lend program. This included establishing new business processes and seeking operational efficiencies by improving the way the unit uses existing technology. I also served as the provincial representative on federal/ provincial committees on Student Financial Services, International Education and Education Statistics. Prior to this I was a partner in a language school where I was the GM/Controller and also managed the IT functions with in the firm.Specialties: Budgeting, financial projections, business plan development, strategic planning and research, SME networking and accounting software setup (simply accounting/quickbooks).
