Following early promotion to Cpl, as part of the RAF Talent and Leadership scheme, I transitioned into a Product Management role.

After roughly a year working in Dev I transitioned into UI/UX Design after showing a passion and aptitude in user-centered design and iterative design processes.

While working in Dev I was fortunate enough to work in collaboration with Pivotal Labs London. This enabled me to learn quickly from highly skilled professionals. Following this engagement I went on to develop several new innovative products for the RAF using the Microsoft Power Platform.

Designed to prepare me for first tours by offering a breadth of skills and knowledge across the full range of duties I may be employed in, including: Electronic and Radio Principles; Mathematics; Cisco Academy IT Essentials; Cisco Introduction to Networks; Microsoft Server 2K12, Relational Databases, Programming Techniques, Satellite and Data Communications; Information Systems and Network Administration and Cyber Security. In addition, I was also instructed in Health and Safety, Maintenance Practices and Procedures, all of which will allowed me to deploy and maintain our range of communications information networks and sensors.

Phase 1 training inducted me into the military ethos, developed my self-discipline, improved my team skills, enhanced my physical/ mental resilience and began to develop my leadership attributes, which was recognised when selected as Lead Recruit.
