As Supply Chain Engineer I fiddled around with the incredible amount of data VMI has of its items. A big part of my tasks was improving, or cleansing, item data to make it easier for colleagues to know specs of items. During this work period I became a big fan of segmentation according to Eclass, or Ecl@ss, and wrote a basic manual how to work with it. I managed to give tens of thousands of parts Eclass Commodity codes. This information I programmed in a low key PIM like system within Power BI.

A project purchaser at TDC has a task to act quickly and flexible to get custom made parts from its supplier network. Time is often limited and deliverytime ranges from a day to four weeks. Tasks include asking quotations, expediting, negotions and purchasing spare parts. In addition to these tasks I enjoy improving recurring proceedings by writing macro's and implementing other mechanisms. Cutting out the unnecessary parts and make work easier, not just for me but also for my colleagues, feels incredibly satisfying.

As allround employee I did more than selling games, my responsibility was opening and closing the store, making order lists, checking stock levels, cleaning, mirroring, training of younger interns and leading other employees. During my time I trained six interns and led 3 other employees. I was responsible for the complete store during absence of the boss (during holidays and illness)I gave a suggestion to change the purchase policy. Before we purchased our goods locally which led to prices incomparable to our competitions. Nowadays the store purchases her goods in England and the margins have risen considerably.

As employee for the Telegraaf Media Group I delivered the newspaper six days ever week to over hundred subscribers from six to seven in the morning. I occasionally took a second district to deliver. In 2008 I won the best newspaper deliverer of Drenthe contest and was rewarded with a bicycle.
