As Chief Innovation Officer Supervision (CIOT in Dutch), I am responsible for coordinating, facilitating and operational steering of the innovation agenda for supervision at DNB. As of Feb 1st 2020 we are fully established and speeding up our suptech work and efforts to work together with the sector through our iForum. Key goals of the innovation office are both internally and externally oriented. Internally we aim to make supervision ready for the digital age by coordinating the development of new tooling, advanced algorithms and digital processes. And of course boosting the innovation culture and digital competencies needed to effectively use (new) technology in supervision. Externally our goal is to provide a central point of contact to explore together with the industry where we can take away inefficiencies by applying technology, for example in the way DNB connects to data of supervised institutions. We also explore the potential for partnerships with 3rd parties that provide tooling that can be used to boost effectiveness and efficiency of our supervisory processes.
