As a sales negotiator my job was to build rapport with clients and identify their individual needs to establish the characteristics that best matched our current or upcoming stock. Whilst building rapport with the client it was important to identify their position and sell the other services that we provided i.e. mortgage, help to find and solicitors. Yard Supervisor - As Site Supervisor I take responsibility for all aspects of facility operations including the supervision and development of staff, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and managing process to give outstanding performance and business growth.Health and safety throughout the yard is one of my responsibilities, I have to oversee all movements of mobile plant, ensure that any vehicles that are tipping or being loaded are correctly banked by an appropriate person. General Admin duties such as Purchase orders, dealing with account customer’s payments whilst grading and pricing their materials, Sales of stock, payroll, waste management, consignment notes, point of work risk assessments, permit to work, first aid and setting accounts up for new suppliers. I perform performance reviews for all staff whilst assessing them daily – through KMI (internal report network), observational behaviour audits, safety conversations and job cycle checks. General maintenance around the yard and I also assess breakdowns on the mobile plant to see if it can be resolved on site or we have to contact an outside contractor. I am required to provide adequate training and instruction and ensure that all staff comply with Health & Safety and Environmental requirements. I have a working knowledge of the requirements of every job role within the yard and perform the roles as and when required.I am in charge of planning workplace transport for the yard along with managing stock take for ferrous and non-ferrous every month.

Customer Service Adviser – duties included taking customers’ orders and processing through the system, stock control, processing deliveries, re-merchandising the shop floor work, sorting and picking orders, customer care and advice.Talk back representative- the duties for this role include keeping In Touch with all staff and ensure that they are all happy and if they have any problems I have to speak to my manager otherwise talk to my area manger to resolve the issues for the staff. In the role of a talk back representative I attended meetings with the managers for the region and we discussed ways to improve the business for both staff and employees.
