As I’ve journeyed through this life I have much to be proud of. I am a man of God. I am a successful athlete who continued to push myself in ways that were thought to be outrageous. I am a husband who continues to love and cherish the marriage I have. An uncle, son and brother who appreciates the time and joy spent with his family. Three things I’ve realized throughout this journey. 1) Prioritize your values. Don't jeopardize them. 2) Find those like minded individuals who encourage you to level up. 3) Don't be defined by one area of your life. I was asked one simple question that changed my perspective: “What do you do?” Similar to the majority of the population, I responded with my current job title. This simple question made me realize that there is much more to be desired in this life than a 40+ hour work week. As my wife and I began to understand a life outside of the norm, we began to seek out those individuals who have or are creating a lifestyle we are chasing. For us the definition is simple, financial security and having more time.I believe that if you want something bad enough, have a strong desire to succeed with a strong work ethic and are coachable, there is nothing you can’t achieve. Figure out your why and hold onto it. Take the risk to achieve your goals and don’t get discouraged from failures. Learn from them, grow from them and continue to press on.
