Patrick Del Duca, included in THE BEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA®, 2010-2018, addresses corporate, commercial, financial and regulatory challenges across bodies of law and legal systems. Trained in common and civil law, he has worked domestically and widely across borders, especially in US, Europe and Latin America and energy, environmental, financial and other regulatory frameworks.Mr. Del Duca is the Membership Officer of the ABA’s Section of International Law. He has been instrumental in formulation of ABA policy regarding secured lending reform in emerging markets and improvement of legal frameworks for signature verification across borders. He is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy.Mr. Del Duca serves as adjunct professor at UCLA Law School, most recently teaching International Finance. This summer he will offer an advanced classes on Negotiable Instruments at the law faculty of the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota. He is the co-editor, the translator and a contributor of MEXICO AND ITS LEGAL SYSTEM: LAWYERS' ESSAYS ON THE CONTINUING EVOLUTION (American Bar Association/Carolina Academic Press, 2018). He is the author of CHOOSING THE LANGUAGE OF TRANSNATIONAL DEALS: PRACTICALITIES, POLICY AND LAW REFORM, a book published by the American Bar Association. His most recent article is: "Why We Read The International Lawyer: Answers Parsed from Works of Two International Lawyers," 50(1) The International Lawyer 87 (2017).
