I started my career as Primary classroom teacher and taught in upper primary for 2.75 years before testing the waters in year 9 and music classroom space, part-time. I have been teaching for a total of 7 years and for the last 4 years, I have found my feet in teaching middle school to VCE English, whilst assisting in the establishment of many music programs, school musicals and teaching violin during breaks.I commenced a Master's of Educational Leadership online in 2020, but I put that on the back burner when I became a proud father in 2021.While studying my teaching degree I worked as a performer, playing double bass in the Melbourne Musical theatre and Blues fields. I continue to perform both solo and with a country and western group.I also have a passion and am a strong advocate for mental health. Having lived experience both first and second hand and am always learning in this space. I care deeply for my students and for others and am always looking out for ways I am able to impact the next generation in a positive way.Currently, I am enjoying continuing my teaching practice at Edgar's Creek Secondary College, working in the English team across middle and senior secondary.
