I am an ecologist and conservationist, with broad ranging interests, from historic conservation to nature conservation, to sustainable agriculture, and rural development. I am particularly interested in outreach and education and supporting other young aspiring conservationists develop sector relevant skills. Currently I am working with the National Trust, as part of the Mourne Wildfire Recovery Project, aiming to restore the habitats impacted by the wildfire in 2021. My role within this project includes habitat management and restoration, undertaking surveys and habitat monitoring, conservation grazing management, volunteer enagagement and public outreach. In the past I have been involved with and led academic research, at both UCD and Queens University Belfast, with both projects having primarily botanical ecology and conservation focuses.
