CurrentExecutive Director of Stanford’s IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access in a Learning environment) program a university initiative that is a cornerstone of the long-range vision. IDEAL is designed to create a campus environment in which all community members – students, staff, faculty, and alumni – experience a living, learning, and working environment that is inclusive, welcoming, and equitable. Also oversee:• The Sexual Harassment, Assault, Response and Education (SHARE) Office, Stanford’s central resource for redressing and preventing sexual harassment and violence issues experienced by all Stanford community members, including Title IX reporting.• The Diversity and Access Office, whose mission it is to ensure University-wide compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning non-discrimination and disability access, and to advance Stanford's commitment to diversity, equal opportunity, and affirmative action goals – as well as to foster an inclusive and accessible community for students, staff, faculty, and visitors, and • The university Ombuds Office, a confidential resource available to all faculty, staff, postdocs, and students who are experiencing a conflict or issue that is interfering with their academic or work life at Stanford.As Special Advisor to the President on Equity and Inclusion :(1) regularly consults with President on the progress of diversity and racial justice goals and initiatives; (2) consults on strategic communications; (3) serves as chair or lead on a number of boards and task forces, including the Community Board on Public Safety (charged with reimagining public safety on the Stanford campus), the Task Force on Jewish Admissions (charged with reviewing the history of claims of biased admission of members of the Jewish community), and liaison with the Black Community Counsel; and (4) serves as a strategic advisor. Member of the University Cabinet, Executive Cabinet, and the President’s Senior Staff.
