The Morningstar Development Program is a two to three year venture where program members (MDPs) have the opportunity to take on different projects outside their day-to-day responsibilities in order to develop new connections and technical skills.As an MDP completed two stretch projects:- Oil & Gas Equity and Credit Research Valuations Project (December 2016- May 2017). In this project I have learned and employed financial modeling techniques and have assisted an Equity & Credit Analyst along with the Director of Equity Research for oil & gas valuation and fair value estimate different MLP companies. I have also researched and worked on the NGL model for Natural Gas used by this Research group.- Money Market Fund Reform Data Project (June-October 2016) which used data mining techniques to populate four brand new data points in Morningstar's Open End Fund Data Universe

Morningstar Data Analysts are responsible for the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the investment data used in all Morningstar products. Specifically I was responsible for and worked on-Owner of the Morningstar Category Process for Brazilian Open End Funds-Project Management for ValorPro & Business Trip to the São Paulo office focusing on implementation (May-June 2016)-Collaborated, analyzed and connected with investment professionals across international markets.-Daily contatct with São Paulo, Mexico City, Santiago, and Shenzhen teamates -Connecting with fund companies and establishing a credible relationship for Morningstar. -Analyzing data sets and using SQL to innovate and implement improvements. -Analyzing mutual funds and implementing our category methodology. As a Data Analyst, I learned the nuances of investment products, performance reporting, and portfolio analysis, owned the data collection processes, and managed projects focused on process improvement initiatives.I also had to have strong external relationships with our fund data providers and internal relationships with Morningstar teams. Data Analysts at Morningstar have daily contact with mutual fund companies, insurers, custodians, and transfer agents. They are the experts regarding investment data points and Morningstar calculation methodologies, and are routinely called upon for both internal and external client data issues.Provided research, analysis, thesis for the report below
