I am a student at Caldwell University in the Sport Management program. I am an avid sports fan and am very knowledgeable about sports history and statistics.I lost the ability to walk when I was 4 years old due to a rare neuromuscular disorder. I now use a power wheelchair. This hasn't stopped me from actively participating in the sports world and pursuing my career goals. I have gone through many surgeries in my life, and I have persevered through them all. I have also had to adapt to the way I communicate with others. For example, I use text-to-speech software when someone is having a hard time understanding my speech. This software has helped me to communicate more effectively with others.I want to be included in various opportunities. I do not want to be pitied or discriminated against just because I am in a wheelchair. I believe I have a variety of skills to offer a company or organization. When given a task, I am eager to get started. I make sure it is done well and I submit ahead of schedule. I believe that getting things done efficiently will set me apart from my peers. I do require my work environment to be adapted for my needs. For example, I use a touch screen computer, trackball, keyboard stand, and an adjustable desk to help me get things done more easily. This setup has been extremely useful for allowing me to accomplish tasks.I enjoy writing because I get to share my vast knowledge of sports. My articles are well-written and informative. I take pride in my work. I love seeing my work being published on the Morris Sussex Sports and Let’s Be Frank websites. It's a great feeling to know that my work is being read by others. It puts a smile on my face knowing that people have read what I wrote. I am passionate about sports writing and am grateful for the opportunity to share my knowledge with others. Being a sportswriter has been a dream job for me. I am excited to continue writing about sports and educating others.I am eager to learn all aspects of sports management and expand my writing skills. I am conscientious, hardworking, dependable, and sociable. I am also a competitive chess player and frequently compete in tournaments. Chess has helped to give me more confidence. I like having the ability to come face to face with another opponent. It makes me feel like I'm being included in a spirited game.I am determined to succeed in my career and make a difference in the world. I believe that everyone has something to offer, regardless of their abilities. I am excited to see what the future holds for me.
