In charge and responsible for the overall training, maintenance, budgetary oversight, safety and operational readiness of a carrier based helicopter squadron which included 280+ active duty personnel and 8 MH-60S helicopters.While in a leadership role, the squadron successfully transitioned from 4 SH-60F (ASW variant) and 3 HH-60H to 8 MH-60S airframes, which included the addition of 12 pilots and 50 maintenance personnel and completion of training and safety programs for all aircrew and maintenance personnel in order to minimize risk and maximize operational readiness as a Carrier Strike Group force multiplier. As the Commanding Officer the squadron flew over 5,500 mishap free flight hours and successfully completed a deployment in support of the Carrier Strike Group and logistics for the entire Middle East maritime region.

Filled the role of Chief of the Joint Reconnaissance Center for the U.S. Southern Command Area of Responsibility covering all of Central and South America. Responsible for requesting and directing the employment of airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) assets to support all intelligence collection priorities of Commander, U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM). Primary representative of USSOUTHCOM during the Request For Forces (RFF) process, working closely with the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Joint Staff. Developed plans and oversaw the employment and daily operations of airborne ISR assets, which included close coordination with National Security Council and Colombia country team to include multiple government agencies and Defense Attache team. Coordinated the employment of multiple manned and unmanned ISR platforms from across service lines and Government agencies to include U.S. Army Airborne Reconnaissance Light (ARL), U.S. Air Force RC-135 and Global Hawk, U.S. Navy EP-3 and Scan Eagle and multiple experimental platforms using our missions as proof of concept. Primary Subject Matter Expert and advisor to Commander, USSOUTHCOM for all ISR mission areas.

Completed Lynx initial training program and assigned to fleet squadron as the only pilot on an embarked detachment. Completed a deployment to the West Indies serving as detachment pilot, division officer and ship weather forecasting officer. During the deployment, closely and directly coordinated with Joint Interagency Task Force-South (JIATF South), Drug Enforcement Agency, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy and Royal Netherlands Navy to interdict Drug and Human Trafficking from Source Zones within Central and South America to the United States via the Caribbean Sea.

Served as SH-60F/HH-60H Model Manager and Unit NATOPS inspector, ensuring all west coast HS squadrons were in compliance with NATOPS SOP and were safely and effectively operating all assigned aircraft.

Oversaw the entire process of enrollment, documenting and strategic focused education of future leaders within all military branches and federal agencies.

Led 30+ active duty mid to senior officers from all branches in addition to 5 contractors, responsible for developing Pacific Operational Plans, designing and executing training exercises for west coast Carrier Strike Groups and Amphibious Ready Groups, planning and supporting multi-lateral maritime exercises, developing operational level of war policies and supervising Foreign Liaison Officers from 5 coalition and allied countries.-Responsible for spearheading the training and certification of 6 Carrier Strike Groups and 6 Amphibious Ready Groups through rigorous pre-deployment workup cycles culminating in a final war exercise which included U.S. and coalition Opposing Forces, ensuring full operational readiness in globally executing the U.S. National Defense and Maritime Strategies.-Developed and increased the size of the Rim Of the Pacific (RIMPAC) multi-lateral exercise to 27 countries, fostering critical relationships with coalition and allied countries while providing unique training opportunities that improved our Theater Security Cooperation in every geographic region in the world.-Led the Operational Level of War planning for all Pacific Region War Plans, providing critical support to the U.S. Commander responsible for the defense of the Western Pacific and the associated U.S. bases and Allied Countries.
