Spearheaded relationships with the following U.S. House of Representatives committees: Transportation and Infrastructure; Appropriations; Homeland Security and Oversight; and Government Reform to identify policy concerns related to Amtrak’s authorization and appropriation goals. Developed long-term relationships with government officials at the cabinet level.-- Responded to information request from delegations of the 46 states and 500 communities Amtrak serves and develop relationships with these offices and or issue based caucuses to advocate Amtrak’s interests and relevance in the state, region or community.-- Deterred policy initiatives that would negatively affect Amtrak in developing relationships in the business and political spheres.
